“Tokugawa Chakai” Tea Ceremony List

Every autumn, the Tokugawa Art Museum holds “Tokugawa Chakai” tea ceremony events at the teahouses adjoining the museum building. The ceremonies are held in the usu-cha-seki (thin tea gathering), koi-cha-seki (thick tea gathering), and tenshin-seki (meal gathering). In addition, masterpieces of tea ceremony implements are on display. To participate in the “Tokugawa Chakai” Tea Ceremony, a reservation must be made in advance. The admission fee (including tea ceremony fees and museum admission fee) is 23,000 yen, and the course will take about 3 hours.
