Programs for Visitors and Groups
Experiential programs led by volunteer guides for groups of over 15 are provided for greater appreciation of the Tokugawa Art Museum. Programs are conducted in Japanese.

Play the “Kaiawase” Shell-matching Game
In this program, participants play the “Kaiawase” shell-matching game enjoyed by princesses in olden times. After instructions (10 minutes) and playing the game (20 minutes), participants make an original “Awasegai” (the pair of clams used in the game) by decoupage (1 hour).

Enjoy “Monkō,” the Traditional Scents of Japan
In this program, participants enjoy a game based on a traditional incense-smelling ceremony, in a Japanese-style room.
